Let’s have fun!
If you’re reading this you probably already know me. At least online. There is a lot of crap going on in the world, but my best way for dealing with it is to share and collaborate with people who like a lot of the same things I like. I do this on Facebook, but I’m so invested in that platform for organizations and groups, I don’t always say everything I want to.
This will be a space to talk about whatever we want. I am going to focus on the stuff that gets me excited and it’s amazing how often it is the same stuff that excited me as a kid. What kind of things?
I love toys, comic books, science fiction, car racing, aviation, art, films, books, music and more. Some of the things I’m attracted to I can’t explain. I have a fascination with the NY World’s Fair of 1939. I have NO connection to it. My family did not even live in the United States in 1939. My parents were immigrants from other countries, who became naturalized citizens.
I cover some of these topics on my website www.fonsecam.com. Right now the site is mostly photos and event calendars, but the blog posts will evolve from this Substack.
I have toyed with the idea of a podcast, but I think a column like this ight just be the best way to get started.
